Located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, HSC is a member-owned 35,000-acre forest and Michigan’s oldest certified Tree Farm. Supported by HSC’s sustainable forest management, these diverse habitats attract and sustain a wide variety of birds, mammals and other wildlife.

This diverse, Appalachian hardwood property consists of several large blocks in central Tennessee and is managed under the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) certification program. The property is managed for a variety of recreational, wildlife, timber and community benefit objectives.

In 2017, Lyme purchased the Logan property with an existing forest carbon project. Actively managed under the FSC certification program, the New Markets Tax Credits program financed the establishment of a logging business using winch-assist harvesting technology on the property’s steep slopes. Winch-assist systems make logging jobs safer and higher-paying, reduce soil compaction and erosion, and support quality silviculture.
