About the Role
We are seeking an experienced System Architect to create technical solutions for the needs of carbon offset projects. The System Architect will integrate components, tools, and approaches to operate within the current technical direction of existing platforms. Our goal is to implement and support  a stable, scalable, and secure architecture as we begin  to build our inhouse engineering capabilities.

About the Role
As the Director of Forest Carbon Origination - Western Canada, you will support the development of Finite’s growing portfolio of forest offset projects. In this role, you will partner with a rapidly growing team of 26 employees, including 11 full-time foresters who provide technical expertise and implementation capabilities in both the United States and Canada. We service a wide range of clients including First Nations, land trusts, family forests, and institutional timber managers. Our solutions include project feasibility, inventory, modeling and documentation, verification oversight, timber-carbon decision support, and offset transactions. We pride ourselves on working as an advocate for these landowners and are committed to integrity and fair dealing in all our business interactions. We are seeking a like-minded individual who shares these same values to join us here at Finite Carbon.

What you’ll do
In this role you will partner with and support the origination team by building interpersonal relationships with forest landowners to help them understand their opportunities and evaluate their participation in compliance and voluntary carbon markets. You will assist in the transfer of inventory and GIS data for project feasibility and due diligence. You will help in the preparation and presentation of project proposals for new and existing clients. This position assists with the development and maintenance of company sales collateral including presentations, press releases, website, and social media. As Director, you will develop financial models for landowners to review potential revenue and long-term monitoring and maintenance costs.
You will travel as necessary to visit with new and existing clients, team meetings, and industry conferences.
Location: Philadelphia, PA or Tallahassee, FL strongly preferred, but remote candidates will also be considered.

About the Role
As the Director of Methodologies, your efforts will directly impact the strategy we will implement to successfully scale the use of carbon markets to regenerate and maintain healthy, productive forests across the world. We aim to create scalable and technology-enabled financing mechanisms to incentivize reforestation and restoration on landholdings as small as 10 hectares with maximum climate impact balanced with a deep respect for social justice and the promotion of biodiversity.  The Director of Methodologies will guide the implementation of existing offset methodologies and develop new offset methodologies for this ambitious multi-disciplinary effort.

As the Director of Global Reforestation Policy, your efforts will directly impact the strategy we will implement to successfully scale the use of carbon markets to fund reforestation and forest restoration globally and meet our goal of delivering $1 billion to small landowners, NGOs, and communities by 2030. We aim to create scalable and technology-enabled financing mechanisms to incentivize reforestation and restoration on landholdings as small as 10 hectares with maximum climate impact balanced with a deep respect for social justice and the promotion of biodiversity.  The Director of Global Reforestation will guide policy, strategy, coordination, and outreach for this ambitious multi-disciplinary effort.

About the Role
We are building our internal engineering team and looking for an experienced , full stack Lead Software Engineer to build develop application solutions  for the carbon offset market.  This includes internal platforms used by Finite Carbon employees, as well as public-facing sites for users to create, submit, monitor, and maintain carbon offset projects.  You will lead the  development team using a standard technical framework as well as technologies such as Satellite Imagery, Forestry/Land Management concepts and geospatial data products.    This role will also introduce best practices for software development processes such as testing, CI/CD and application security.

We are looking for a machine learning engineer who is passionate about helping to fight climate change. This position will work on a small team of remote sensing experts to design and build advanced forest analytics that leverage remote sensing and field inventory datasets. You will partner with a diverse set of internal stakeholders to develop a tool to incentive forest conservation and biological carbon sequestration.
