The goal of forest carbon offset projects is to provide a market-based solution to support sustainable forest management, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote economic and social development for landowners. Projects typically involve activities such as planting new trees, improving forest management practices, and protecting standing forests from destruction. They are typically implemented by local communities, forest landowners, non-profit organizations, or government agencies and are funded by individuals, corporations, and governments who want to reduce their carbon footprint.

Carbon offset projects are subject to rigorous monitoring and verification to ensure that the carbon sequestration and storage claims are accurate and that the projects are having a real impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Once verified, the carbon credits generated by the project can be sold on carbon markets, allowing individuals, corporations, and governments to offset their carbon emissions.

A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH

We don’t just follow best practices; we develop them.

We incentivize the protection, restoration, and sustainable management of forests and working lands by connecting landowners with companies seeking natural climate solutions. We believe that facilitating these mutually beneficial relationships plays a critical role in mitigating climate change and empowering carbon finance.

Our projects are subject to rigorous monitoring and verification standards to ensure that the carbon sequestration is real, additional, permanent, verifiable, and enforceable. We continue to push industry best practice, authoring and refining methodologies, and investing in research and technology with a focus on developing the highest integrity forest carbon projects.
