Elizabeth (Liz) Pascale

Liz Pascale is Finite Carbon’s Business Operations Manager. She manages the development and administration of our customer data and carbon project management systems, as well as QA/QC and reporting. She works interdepartmentally to guide the integration of our internal systems infrastructure.

Liz has an interdisciplinary background that includes land management, field research, and marketing & sales. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Science from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts and an M.S. in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology from Antioch University New England in Keene, New Hampshire. Now she specializes in systems administration and integration, project management, and interdepartmental collaboration.

In her free time, you can often find her out for a hike, exploring local neighborhoods and events, or trying out new creative pursuits.

Caitlin Guthrie

Caitlin Guthrie

Caitlin Guthrie is Finite’s Director of Forest Carbon Origination. She brings over a decade of experience in assisting landowners to successfully monetize nature-based solutions. Since 2020, Caitlin has worked directly with large forest owners across the U.S. to evaluate and develop custom forest carbon projects. Caitlin guides the design and implementation of strategic carbon initiatives that have unlocked substantial value for Finite’s clients, while also meeting ESG objectives and tackling climate change.

Prior to joining Finite Carbon, Caitlin served as Associate Director of Conservation Loans at The Conservation Fund, where she provided financing and technical assistance to private partners for land and conservation easement acquisitions. Earlier in her career, Caitlin held a variety of roles leading forestland restoration, stewardship and conservation acquisitions. She has a Master’s of Science from the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences at the University of Washington and is a graduate of Pomona College.

In her free time, you can find Caitlin deepening her connection to place in southern Oregon and northern California through mountain biking, backpacking and cross country skiing.

Nathan Hanzelka, CF

Nathan Hanzelka, CF

Nate Hanzelka is Finite Carbon’s Director on the Project Development Team. He is responsible for managing the design and modeling of our voluntary project portfolio, leveraging his extensive knowledge of applied forestry and advanced skills in Remsoft and FVS. Nate also works closely with our sales team to assess prospective projects and provide analytical support.

Nate comes from a timberland investment background, working for Hancock (Manulife) Forest Management before joining Finite. In this role, he performed harvest scheduling on 2+ million acres of forestland, developed cashflow reports, and formulated strategic and tactical management plans. He carries a bachelor’s from UW – Stevens Point and a master’s from Virginia Tech.

Nate spends his free time fixing his house, riding his mountain bike, and exploring the PNW with his 12-year-old lab, Laika.

Adam Trenholm, CCF

Adam Trenholm, CCF

Adam Trenholm leads Finite’s geospatial analysis work. Before Finite, Adam worked throughout New England as a forest stewardship technician for the New England Forestry Foundation (a Finite client), in the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming as a forester for Spearfish Forest Products, and as a staff forester for LandVest Timberlands in New Hampshire and Vermont. While working on his undergraduate degree, Adam spent two summers working for the USDA Forest Service as a Forestry Technician in Big Piney, Wyoming and Wrangell, Alaska. Adam holds a B.S. in Forestry, from the University of Massachusetts.

When Adam isn’t on the clock you can either find him outside with his family or inside with a good book.

Stephen Purvis

Stephen Purvis

Stephen Purvis is Finite Carbon’s Vice President of Project Development. Before joining Finite, Stephen worked with Weyerhaeuser conducting biomass and silvicultural research, timber market analysis, and market feasibility. In Weyerhaeuser’s southeast forest operations group, he managed the regional harvesting program including harvest scheduling and made significant contributions in harvest scheduling methodology. He is a certified professional logging manager with advanced analytic experience using Remsoft, SAS, and ArcMap. Stephen holds a B.S. and M.S. in Forestry from the University of Georgia.

Outside of work you can Stephen out boating in the Gulf of Mexico, hiking, or maintaining his collection of classic cars.
