We have a diverse portfolio of forest carbon projects, ranging from private landowners to Indigenous communities and corporate forest owners. Projects cover areas from 5,000 acres to more than 200,000 acres.

We work with well-established carbon registries and state agencies, including ACR, the Climate Action Reserve (CAR), and the California Air Resources Board, in addition to qualified third-party verifiers to verify and register our projects.

Approved buyers can browse available projects on the Finite Carbon Marketplace and review comprehensive project details. Once a buyer selects the desired credits and submits a bid, Finite Carbon facilitates the opportunity by presenting the bid to the project proponent, who is oftentimes the landowner, for approval.

Connecting

We incentivize the protection, restoration, and sustainable management of forests and working lands by connecting landowners with companies seeking natural climate solutions.

Empowering

We believe that facilitating these mutually beneficial relationships plays a critical role in mitigating climate change and empowering carbon finance.

Evolving

We continue to push industry best practices, authoring and refining methodologies, investing in research and technology, and applying learnings to advance our sector.

"In our region of Maine, we’re a natural resource-based economy. Designating our forest for carbon sequestration represents progress for economic development in rural parts of the state and the country which otherwise may not have been possible. This project has become a core part of our tribe’s economy and brought in resources which otherwise would not have come to these parts of Washington, Penobscot and Somerset Counties. So many view forests as a business. Using our land for offsets, we view our forest as a resource for how many trees we can let live, so they can provide benefits for future generations."
