Grace Woodlands, the largest privately owned property in Hardy County, West Virginia, will protect over 10,000 forest acres under ACR’s Improved Forest Management protocol and will conserve native forest through 2062 while maintaining and accruing additional sequestered carbon. Less than a two-hour drive from Washington D.C., the project provides important unfragmented wildlife habitat in addition to timber and stunning scenery. Grace Woodlands protects portions of the South Fork River, a key tributary of the Potomac River which is the source of drinking water for over six million people in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
