A key forest tract among the headwaters of Maine’s Pleasant River, Silver Lake was protected through the combined resources of the Forest Society of Maine, Open Space Institute, and Appalachian Mountain Club. Part of the effort to conserve Maine’s storied 100-Mile Wilderness, Finite Carbon was honored to assist with the acquisition of Silver Lake by leveraging conventional sources of conservation finance with carbon offset revenue.
