Adam leads Finite’s geospatial analysis work. Before Finite, Adam worked throughout New England as a forest stewardship technician for the New England Forestry Foundation (a Finite client), in the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming as a forester for Spearfish Forest Products, and as a staff forester for LandVest Timberlands in New Hampshire and Vermont. While working on his undergraduate degree, Adam spent two summers working for the USDA Forest Service as a Forestry Technician in Big Piney, Wyoming and Wrangell, Alaska.

Steve has spent the past 15 years managing forestry projects in tropical and temperate forests in over 10 countries including leading forest inventories in Central America. He has worked with TIMOs, NGOs, and public agencies to evaluate lands for their ecosystem service potential. Steve has modeled forest growth and yield using FVS, FPS, and Remsoft, guided new forest carbon protocols through the VCS approval process, is a recognized VCS AFOLU expert and an accredited verifier under the US Forest protocol with the California Air Resources Board.

Stephen is part of Finite’s project development team based in our Tallahassee office. Before joining Finite, Stephen worked with Weyerhaeuser conducting biomass and silvicultural research, timber market analysis, and market feasibility. In Weyerhaeuser’s southeast forest operations group, he managed the regional harvesting program including harvest scheduling and made significant contributions in harvest scheduling methodology. He is a certified professional logging manager with advanced analytic experience using Remsoft, SAS, and ArcMap.

Brian has over 20 years of experience in forest modeling, inventory, and investment analysis. He was portfolio manager for $500 million of U.S. timberlands assets at GreenWood Resources where he led inventory and modeling for existing investments and acquisition targets. He has extensive analytical experience with REITs and TIMOs, industrial, government, and non-profit landowners leading planning efforts, asset valuations, systems analysis, and forestry software development. Brian serves on the Forest Biometrics Research Institute Board of Directors.

Based in Washington D.C., Carrie oversees Finite’s legal compliance related to the production, verification, reporting, and delivery of carbon offsets. Prior to Finite, Carrie directed carbon compliance at The Conservation Fund where she specialized in voluntary and compliance offset regulatory requirements and managed the Fund’s voluntary forest carbon offset program, Go Zero, including the successful verification and validation of more voluntary forest carbon projects than any group in the nation.

Brandon Vickery, CF

Brandon has over ten years of forest modelling and forest conservation experience with advanced analytics using Remsoft, FVS, Access, and ArcMap. Before joining Finite, Brandon worked with Mason, Bruce and Girard providing analytical support for forest management planning projects, harvest scheduling, timberland valuation, inventory, and appraisal analysis. While at MBG, Brandon contributed to the national Indian Forest Management Assessment Team (IFMAT-III) report. Brandon was previously a land protection specialist with the Franklin Land Trust (MA).

Based in Los Angeles, Eric is part of the Finite Carbon team responsible for project feasibility analysis, modeling, and development. With extensive experience using FVS and ARC-GIS, Eric worked in operations and management on Duke’s FSC-certified School Forest and assisted in the execution of timber sales and design and implementation of Duke’s continuous forest inventory system. Eric was a Soil Research Technician with the USDA Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station.

Tim leads Finite’s in-house project development team and oversees all project inventory, modeling, documentation, and verification activity. He has extensive experience in carbon markets, modelling, and natural resource systems planning. Under Tim’s leadership, Finite’s team has verified and registered more forest offset projects and offset project supply than any company in the industry. His experience as a consulting and procurement forester gives Finite clients added value in evaluating and implementing carbon projects on working timberlands.

Matt Smith, ACF CF

Matt oversees the implementation of Finite’s forest carbon inventory and project verification work and has led more successful forest offset project verifications than anyone in the industry. For two decades Matt was a forest operations specialist and management director for Forecon’s TIMO clients. Matt has extensive carbon project experience under the ARB, CAR, VCS, ACR and CCX programs. Matt is a forest landowner in western New York and has been published in the ForestrySource, Forest Landowner, the ACF Consultant, and the Journal of Forestry.

Sean Carney

Sean manages Finite’s portfolio and OTC transactions in addition to overseeing Finite’s overall operations. He was a broker at CantorCO2e where he worked with clients to facilitate structured carbon offset transactions from forestry, livestock management, landfill gas, and renewable energy projects. Prior to CantorCO2e, Sean was one of the first employees of Carbonfund.org, where he worked with Dell, Volkswagen, and Orbitz to develop and manage their carbon neutral programs. Sean is one of the offset industry’s most seasoned transaction specialists.
