President
David Stevenson is Finite Carbon's President. He has been a professional forester in Canada for over 30 years and has worked with industry, consultants, and government. David joined Finite from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment, where he led climate and offset policy development. While with the Saskatchewan Forest Service, David led forest policy development, forest management planning, and forest renewal having been originally hired as the Provincial Silviculture Forester. David is a current Councillor and past President of the Saskatchewan Association of Forestry Professionals, and is an active participant with the Canadian Institute of Forestry, the Society of American Foresters, and the Forest Professional Regulators of Canada. David is a registered professional forester in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and New Brunswick. David holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Master of Science in Forestry from Lakehead University in Ontario, Canada. Outside of the office, David is an avid gardener who cans his bounty and is known to bore people with a little too much information about wood decay fungi.

Vice President of Planning and Analytics
Brian Sharer is Finite Carbon’s Vice President of Planning and Analytics. In this capacity, Brian leads the quantification and modeling efforts across Finite Carbon’s business lines for carbon projects throughout the U.S. and abroad. He has over 25 years of experience in forest modeling, inventory, and investment analysis. Prior to joining Finite, Brian was a portfolio manager for $500 million of U.S. timberland assets at GreenWood Resources, where he also led inventory and modeling efforts for existing investments and acquisition targets both domestically and internationally. He has extensive analytical experience with REITs and TIMOs, as well with industrial, government, and non-profit landowners, leading planning efforts, asset valuations, systems analysis, and forestry software development. Brian serves on the Forest Biometrics Research Institute Board of Directors. He holds a Master of Science in Forest Resource Management from Oregon State University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Portland, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Colgate University. During his free time, when nothing needs to be fixed around the house, Brian enjoys hiking, fishing, playing guitar, singing in choral music, and travelling with his family to new places.

Dylan Jenkins, ACF CF
Vice President of Commercial Operations
Dylan Jenkins is Finite Carbon's Vice President of Commercial Operations. He leads U.S. project origination, credit marketing, and sales, and has over 30 years of experience working with private forest landowners toward the protection and sustainable management of working forestlands. Dylan joined Finite from The Nature Conservancy, where he developed market-based strategies integrating land protection, certified forest management, and forest carbon markets, and began his career as an extension forester at Virginia Tech. He was SAF’s National Young Forester of the Year, served on the SAF National Committee on Forest Policy, chaired SAF’s Certification Review Board, and is a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters. At home, he enjoys outdoor projects and mountain biking in the Appalachians with his wife and kids. Dylan holds a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management from Clemson and a Master of Science in Forest Management and Economics from Virginia Tech.

Stephen Purvis is Finite Carbon's Vice President of Project Development. Before joining Finite, Stephen worked with Weyerhaeuser conducting biomass and silvicultural research, timber market analysis, and market feasibility. In Weyerhaeuser’s Southeast Forest Operations Group, he managed the regional harvesting program, including harvest scheduling, and made significant contributions to the harvest scheduling methodology. He is a certified professional logging manager with advanced analytic experience using Remsoft, SAS, and ArcMap. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Forestry from the University of Georgia. Outside of work, you can find Stephen boating in the Gulf of America, hiking, or maintaining his collection of classic cars.
